The group is the idea of first time mum Lynn Humphreys.

Lynn, who lives in Fogwatt, reckons it's a great way for babies to get used to one another.

And it's also great for mums too because they can swap advice and meet new people.

She said: "I had my son Campbell in January.

"He was just 11 weeks when we entered lockdown and we'd only managed to get to one baby class beforehand.

"It was a difficult time because me and my partner, Raymond, had only recently moved to Fogwatt from Dufftown.

"I didn't know many people and had very little chance to make new friends.

"That's why I decided to form the Facebook group.

"Being a first time mum it's really nice to hear that you're not alone and there are others out there in the same boat."

'Pre-lockdown and Lockdown Babies - Mummy Group' is the very successful result.

As well as chatting online some of the members also began three weeks ago to meet up on Thursday lunchtimes in Elgin's Cooper Park

What's more, a spin-off group has also formed in Forres.

Lynn said: "Most of Campbell's life so far has been spent stuck indoors.

"Although he's hitting all the usual milestones so far, he and all the other babies have been missing out on so much without the usual social interaction, baby groups and early years support.

"And that's not forgetting the learning opportunities that come from daily life, such as popping to the supermarket, going swimming or going on the bus.

"Of course we're very lucky to have our health, but it is hard not to feel like the little ones are being cheated out of the normal experiences of their first year.

"We've begun meeting up near the library in Cooper Park to let our babies socialise.

"I think some of them were a little wary at first, but that's precisely why it's important we do this."
