Little the Jewellers in Elgin - Five generations of family business as baby born

One of Moray’s best known family businesses might now have a fifth generation joining its fold in years to come.

Little the Jewellers has been a fixture in Elgin since 1960 when John ‘Jab’ Little founded his first store on Commerce Street.

Robert, his son, then followed Jab into the business, which expanded in 1970 when a second shop opened on Elgin High Street.

The third and fourth generation are represented by Karen Mackay (née Little) and her niece Siân Little.

All of which brings us to young baby Marla, who’s just been born to Siân and her partner Greig.

The newborn proved a very popular visitor when she dropped into work this week.
