Moray roads – Back road to Dufftown to remain closed for another six months

A Moray road hit by a landslip shortly before Christmas in 2023 will remain shut until December at least.

Part of the route between Dufftown and Maggieknockater has been blocked for the past 18 months following a landslide at Kininvie Farm.

Moray Council, which originally closed the road for public safety reasons, has now issued a public notice that the measure will be extended for a further six months.

The same stretch of road also closed for at least a month following an earlier landslide during the course of January 2021.
