The bad weather forecast for this weekend has led BEAR Scotland to delay planned roadworks on the A96.

Surfacing improvements on the A96 westbound between Kintore and Thainstone Roundabout were due to begin tomorrow and continue until Monday morning.

However, they have now been rescheduled to the weekend of Friday, December 17.

The Met Office has forecast 40-50mph gales, starting Friday afternoon, with gusts up of to 70-80 mph gusts around coastal areas.
