The brothers take viewers through the key moments of the Battle of Britain, when 'the few' of the RAF faced the might of the Nazi Luftwaffe.

As they fly historic planes, meet the veterans, explore the tactics and technology, Colin and Ewan discover the importance of the battle and the surviving legacy of the 1940s campaign for the modern RAF.

The documentary will be screened again tonight at 9pm on BBC One.

Colin McGregor, who lives in Elgin, was a fighter pilot based at RAF Lossiemouth, flying the Tornado fast jet, before retiring from the air force to fly commercial airliners.

He was a key figure in the campaign to save RAF Lossiemouth from potential closure 12 years ago.

Now, the Moray base is home to Typhoon squadrons and will be home to the new Poseidon fleet of maritime aircraft, which are currently based at Kinloss Barracks while work goes on to strengthen the runway at RAF Lossie.
