One of the UK's leading techno DJs will be headlining the Connect music event later this month.

Ben Sims will be performing at Elgin Town Hall on Saturday, June 29.

Buses will be put on from Inverness, Buckie and Keith, amongst other towns, to transport people to and from the event which starts at 9.30pm and goes on to 2.30am.

One of the promoters of Connect is Mark Leslie who lives in Elgin.

He said: "We're really lucky to have been able to get Ben. He's one of the biggest names in techno music in the whole country, if not the world.

"People will be coming from all over Scotland to this so we're expecting to sell out."

Ben Sims spent his formative days earning his stripes spinning hip hop, house and rave on pirate radio and at parties around Essex and East London. Throughout the 1990s he developed into an evermore in-demand DJ.

Marc, B2B, Unknown Callsign, Sub Zero DJs, Clyde Rouge, Ramie Gold and Man's Best Friends are also on the bill.

Tickets, £20, for the event on Saturday, June 29, can be bought at elgintownhall.co.uk or from connectuk.co
