Moray police report body found in Lossiemouth Harbour in search for missing man

A body has been found in the search for a missing 86-year-old man from Moray.

At around 2pm today (Tuesday, February 18), police were made aware of a body in the water at Lossiemouth Harbour. Formal identification is yet to take place, but the family of Ian Ritchie have been informed.

The 86-year-old was reported missing in the town at around 1.30pm today, having last been seen on Monday evening.

There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
