Police in Buckie hunt man who left woman unconscious in “cowardly” late-night attack in the Moray town
A woman was knocked unconscious in an “unprovoked and cowardly” late-night assault by a man in a Moray town.
Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened at quarter past midnight last Saturday morning (October 4) in Buckie.
It happened at South Pringle Street, at its junction with West Church St.
The male suspect is described as having fair hair, of average height and build, and approximately 18 years old.
He was said to be wearing baggy jeans with a grey zip-up style hoodie.
Local Buckie officer, constable Mark Paton said: “The female appears to have been the victim of an unprovoked and cowardly assault, whereby she has been left unconscious on the road by the suspect.
“He has then run off along South Pringle Street, southwards towards the High School direction.
“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault, has private CCTV or any pertinent information to the enquiry to come forward by contacting 101 or attending at the Buckie Police Station and quoting incident 0097 from 4th October.”
