Roadworks round-up for the Buckie area





VARIOUS roadworks and road closures are set to affect Buckie and the surrounding area over the course of the coming week.

Work is set to finish by Tuesday outside 6 William Street, Buckie where Scottish Water are investigating a public health concern around the presence of lead.

Also on Tuesday, a road closure on Merson Street in Buckie should end. Moray Council have been resurfacing the carriageway.

Due to start by Monday and lasting for three working days, the council will be installing a dropped kerb at 5, Golf View Drive.

Openreach estimate they will be finished work to clear telecoms blockage to enable essential service to be provided outside 8 Binn View, Buckie by Tuesday. This activity involved excavation, duct repair and reinstatement.

Set to run over the course of the week the local authority will be installing new electric and water connections to a new build at 3 Earl’s View, Portgordon.

A road closure between Burnside of Enzie and Mains of Cuffuruch is scheduled to end by Tuesday where the council have been conducting resurfacing works.

Institution Road in Fochabers is due to see a road closure in force for carriageway resurfacing.

Over at 16 Addison Street, Portknockie, work is due to start by Monday for three working days to instal a dropped kerb.
