Buckie man awaits fate after drugs confession
A BUCKIE man confessed to police he was holding up to £15,700-worth of heroin in his house.
Inverness Sheriff Court was told last Tuesday that officers had gone to 35-year-old David Harrison's house in Harbour Road on December 17 last year with the intention of checking on his welfare.
Fiscal depute David Morton told the court that Harrison, whose current address was give as Mackintosh Avenue, Portessie, took them to the bedroom where he revealed that he had a large tub under his bed.
It contained four packages with a total quantity of 236 grams of the Class A narcotic.
Harrison admitted possession of drugs with intent to supply.
He told officers that he was doing it as "a favour" and not financial gain.
Defence solicitor Stephen Carty reserved his comments until a background report was prepared.
Sentence was deferred until August 4 for a personal appearance of Harrison, whose bail was continued.
