Busy week for fish landings at Buckie Harbour

THERE was a busier week of landings in store at Buckie Harbour over the last seven days.

A total of 19 vessels brought their catches to the quayside, taking in some 862 boxes of fish/prawns/squid and 328 bags of clams.

The boats were: Lily Oak VI; Camm Bounteous; Brantia; Alisa; Moray Endeavour; Deeside; Flourish; Orcades; Our May; Boy Sam; Intrepid; Reaper; Mon Ami; Athena; Emerald Dawn; Camm Gracious; Camm Alert; Stella Maris; Chloe Ella.

Two cargo vessels called at Buckie last week.

First in was the MV Celtica Hav (Bahamas), importing 1639.4 tonnes of malt from King's Lynn on September 5 before sailing light to Teesport on September 7.

The Antiguan-registered MV Carolin G arrived on September 9 from Kilroot, importing around 2580.000 tonnes of salt. She sailed light the following day.
