A FAMOUS storyteller from the Yukon is visiting rural Moray as part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
Louise Profeit-LeBlanc, who is from the Nacho Nyak Dan First Nation of the northwest Canadian territory, will be at The Cabrach on October 26.
Profeit-LeBlanc was nurtured by the traditional stories of her people and has gone on to dedicate herself to storytelling and to the promotion of indigenous stories.
Keeper of stories from the Nacho Nyak Dun First Nation, she is co-founder of the Yukon International Storytelling festival and the Society of Yukon Artists of Native Ancestry.
The Cabrach Trust is hosting Profeit-LeBlanc at the Acorn Centre as part of the Scottish International Storytelling Festival.
Peter Bye-Jensen, heritage manager, said: "Louise has ancestors in Towie just south of the Cabrach. Besides this, we will have our house-storyteller Jackie Ross tell us local stories with a Scots/Doric folklore twist.
"Come and join us Saturday, October 26 at the Acorn Centre in the Cabrach from 2-4pm."
More information will be posted on the Cabrach Trust's web and Facebook pages as the event approaches.
