Moray’s Wayne Addicoat to receive a minute’s applause at former club Inverness Caledonian Thistle





The memory of a former footballer from Moray will be honoured at a match tomorrow.

Wayne Addicoat died after being taken ill a week last Tuesday while at Maverston Golf Course near Lhanbryde.

Between July 1996 and May 1999, he made 54 appearances for Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The club will be holding a minute's applause in the 45-year-old’s honour ahead of kick-off at their home game against Arbroath on Saturday.

A spokesperson for Caley Thistle said: "The club send its condolences to Wayne’s family at this sad time.”

During Wayne’s footballing career he also had spells at Ross County, Elgin City and Huntly FC.
