Car crashes into Inverness building

A Mercedes crashed into the former William Hill shop on Inverness' Grant Street at about 9.15pm last night.

It is understood that one casualty was taken to hospital, the extent of any injuries the person sustained are unknown.

The fire service used hydraulic cutting equipment at at the scene.

There are also structural concerns about the safety of the building.

One eyewitness said it was "like a scene from a film, with rubble lying all over the road."
