Elgin food and drink festival - Lord and Lady Macbeth – on stilts – among the attractions

A taster of what Moray and the Highlands has to offer from its food and drink providers was served up at the weekend.

The Elgin BID Food and Drink Festival brought together a range of food and drink producers from across the area.

Angela Norrie, Elgin BID manager, said: “We are surrounded by so many lovely friends and family and people from afar that have joined us. It's been such a great selection of crafters, food vendors, drink vendors, so many things that you wouldn't have thought of.”

“It's a fun-filled family event and it's been super.

“It's all about what we can provide everybody in the Highlands, as well as, obviously, locally in Elgin, and create good footfall for our wonderful businesses too.

“We are trying to bring people into the town centre, especially after Covid, we need this more than anything. A lot of businesses are still struggling to get their footfall up.”

Aside from a range of food, drink and craft stalls, there were children’s activities, cookery demonstrations, street entertainment and live music.
