Champion ballroom dancers Michael and Nika Foskett to visit Elgin
TWO youth ballroom dance champions are set to visit Elgin this weekend to put on a show and present medals to local dancers.
Michael and Nika Foskett are appearing at a Dance and Presentation Evening at Borough Briggs on Saturday, July 6, which is being run by Caroline Coomber Dance.
Michael and Nika’s titles include World Youth Ballroom Champions and UK Professional Ten Dance Champions.
They will be doing a demonstration at Borough Briggs, home of Elgin City FC, at 7.30pm on July 6. Tickets are £18 for adults and £5 for children.
The duo will also be presenting medals and certificates to students who did their Ballroom, Latin and Belly Dance Medal Tests last September.
They will then lead dance workshops and give private lessons during their stay, which runs through until Sunday, July 8.
In 2016, the dance school attracted AJ Pritchard and his partner Chloe Hewitt, who soon after appeared on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, to Elgin.
