THE final Old Firm derby of the season will take place in a high noon showdown at Celtic Park on Sunday.
And another big game will kick off hours later in Moray.
While Celtic and Rangers will battle it out for SPFL honours, the winner at Borough Briggs on Sunday from 3pm will be a charity supporting people on a cancer journey.
A Highland News and Media Select will play a Piolice Scotland Moray select at Borough Briggs - the home of Elgin City.
Gates will open at 2m, with the game starting at 3pm.
There will be a raffle, bottle stall, cake and candy, pie shop, beat the goalie competition, and Elgin and District Pipe Band and guests.
Entry is by donation, either in cash or contactless card for those not keen on handling cash.
Supporters will also be able to enjoy a drink before and after the game in the Elgin City sports bar.
All proceeds from the afternoon will go to HNM's charity of the year, Macmillan Cancer Support.
Shirlie Geddes, Macmillan’s Senior Relationship Fundraising Manager in the North and East, said: “The average cost of living with cancer has risen to almost £900 each month and that affects well over 80 per cent of people diagnosed. But it doesn’t factor in the additional impact of rising energy costs which are hitting hard in the north.
"In 2020, Macmillan was able to support 747 people with cancer in the north of Scotland just by awarding our patient grants to help with worries like heating bills and the costs of travelling to treatment. We will have helped in the same way throughout last year too and, in response to the current cost of living crisis, we’ve recently invested an additional £3.5m in the Macmillan grants scheme across the UK.
"If you’re diagnosed with cancer your worries are our worries and we will move mountains to help you live life as fully as you can. So we really appreciate being selected by team at Highland News and Media as their charity of the year; the money raised at this weekend’s football match will help us to keep doing whatever it takes to give people with cancer the support they need.”
