THE pandemic has once again hit the school party season hard, but local youngsters did not let that deflect them from having a Covid-safe good time.
Kids at Cluny Primary did not let the festive spirit slip by them when the school held its 'Christmas Day' on Friday December 10.
Sadly, due to Covid regulations many of the usual features that mark out school Christmas parties had to remain absent for a second year running. There was no dancing in the hall, plus the practice that goes on in the weeks running up to it or feasts of ice cream and jelly.
However, staff and pupils made the best of it and had a thoroughly good Christmas experience with their classmates.
It was on with the festive paper hats, without which no Christmas party is complete and then it was time for some fun and games.
Some of the school's violin players even tuned up and gave much appreciated performance.
