IT’S beginning to feel a lot like Christmas as the toys and goodies start to flood in for our Moray and Grampian Toy and Food appeal.

Less than two weeks after launching our seasonal appeal, the generosity of people across Moray is already evident.

The Northern Scot and its sister papers – Banffshire Advertiser, Banffshire Herald and Banffshire Journal – have joined forces with the St Giles Centre in Elgin, Asda Elgin, Tesco Elgin, Moray Council and Dr Gray’s Hospital, as well as a host of other local community collection points.

The St Giles Centre is the main drop-off point this year, with the offices of The Scot still closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Staff at the newly revamped Asda have weighed in with their first batch of donations, as have members of the mental health team at Dr Gray’s, who have been spreading the message around the hospital.
