SHOE shop Clarks has announced its Elgin branch will not re-open after lockdown.

The closure will affect the shop's nine members of staff, who are now in a period of consultation.

The company's lease at the premises is set to expire in July and staff are clearing out the shop this week ahead of its closure.

The nearest Clarks will now be in Inverness.
