Coronavirus fears delay reopening of Elgin Museum

ELGIN Museum has delayed reopening for the new season due to worries about the coronavirus.

The museum had been due to reopen on Saturday, March 28, but will remain closed until further notice.

A spokeswoman said: "Due to continuing concerns about the COVID-19 virus, Elgin Museum will not now be opening for the new season until the present crisis is over.

"Please check the museum website for updates on the situation.

"There will also be information about the planned Fossil Finders Weekend.

"The new Elginerpeton display will be able to be viewed once the museum opens.

"Our sincere apologies for the disruption this may cause."
