A mobile Covid-19 testing unit will be re-established in Lossie Green car park in Elgin by the weekend.

Moray Council says that areas of the car park will be sealed off to enable safe passage through the testing area.

Drivers are also being asked to observe the parking restrictions on part of Lossie Green.

A council spokesperson said: "As was the case last time the testing unit was operating in Elgin, it is operated by UK military personnel.

"If you develop the symptoms of COVID-19, you should self-isolate and arrange a test via the NHS Inform website, or the staff testing service if you work in health and social care.

To arrange a test, go to the NHS Informed website here and follow the instructions.

The spokesperson added: "Please do not arrange a test if you do not currently have symptoms."
