Councillors declared in uncontested Buckie ward

COUNCILLORS for Moray Council’s uncontested Buckie ward have been declared this morning.

Returning Officer Denise Whitworth declared the results for the ward, which saw three councillors named to represent constituents in Buckie.

Returning councillor Sonya Warren (SNP) is joined by Neil McLennan (Conservative) and Christopher Thomas Price (Lib Dems).

There are 23 further seats available in the local government election, with voters heading to polls across Moray today.

The count will take place tomorrow at Elgin Town Hall and results will be declared on a ward-by-ward basis.
