COVID-19 vaccinations got under way today for patients over the age of 80 at another Elgin health centre as the NHS rollout continues.

Linkwood Medical GP Practice, on Thornhill Drive, has spread out its appointments over the course of this week to reduce footfall and ensure social distancing.

Its patients are being administered the first of two doses of the Oxford/AstraZenica vaccine. The Pfizer vaccine is not available at the practice.

Linkwood has allocated appointment times to its patients in the age bracket but asks that any of its over-80s patients who haven't received a slot should call 0345 337 6350.

Meanwhile, two Speyside health centres will hold Covid-19 clinics later this week.

Aberlour Medical Practice will run its Covid-19 vaccination clinic on Friday, January 22, at the Fleming Hospital, between 10am-3.30pm.

And Glenlivet Medical Practice will operate a clinic on Thursday, January 21, at Glenlivet Public Hall, from 10am to 12.30pm.

Some 264,991 people in Scotland have now received their first dose of the vaccination and 3,698 have received their second dose.
