Staff and riders at Moray's Cranloch Riding Centre raise cash to thank Archie Foundation

A MORAY riding centre has raised £2600 in gratitude to the Archie Foundation.
Staff and riders at Cranloch Riding Centre, near Lhanbryde, have been raising money for the cause over the last year and a half, culminating in a barbecue on Sunday afternoon.
Fiona Younie, whose parents run Cranloch, kicked off fundraising efforts after her four-year-old son, Archie, faced a stay in hospital to treat a broken leg.
The mum came up with a horse-themed design for tea towels, cotton bags, books, snoods and hoodies which were sold for the charity.
As well as this the centre called for donations of books, DVDs, old tack, horsey bits and bobs and Christmas cards which were sold to boost the total.
Many bags of kindlers were also donated which were keenly snapped up by the centre's users.
Fiona said: "Everyone at Cranloch Riding Centre helped to raise £2600 for the Archie Foundation after my son broke his leg and ended up in traction at the Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.
"All the nurses and Archie Foundation staff looked after us so well.
"We want to say thank you to everyone that supported us and hopefully the money will help the Archie Foundation continue the great work that they do."
The Archie Foundation works with the NHS and childcare professionals to improve healthcare and hospital stays for local children and their families.
