Cyclist dies in hospital

A 79-year-old male cyclist has died following a medical incident on the B9040 road between Hopeman and Lossiemouth at the weekend.

Emergency services attended the area on Sunday at about 11.30am.

The cyclist was taken to Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin where he died

Local Sergeant Mark Bayliss said: "His family has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this very sad time.

"Thank you to all motorists for your patience while enquiries were carried out at the scene yesterday."
