THE second event for the Elgin Rotary's triple challenge is taking shape and looking for more cyclists.

The 50km cycling challenge will take place on April 7 at 10:30am and is being sponsored by local legal firm, Wink and Mackenzie.

It will be the first ever cycling event that the rotary have organised, with 2019 being the first year of the triple challenge.

The triple challenge incorporates three different events including swimming, which took place in February, cycling and running. They replace the previous events of Swimarathon and Marafun.

The route of the cycling challenge, which starts and ends at Miltonduff Hall, has been influenced by the Elgin Cycling Club.

Iain Jamieson, who is the organising the event, said “This interesting and varied 50 km route is proving very popular.

"There are still spaces remaining and if you are interested you should enter soon at www.resultsbase.net.

"There will be delicious cakes and refreshments at the finish and a bespoke medal to celebrate a great sense of personal achievement.”
