A96 traffic lights in Elgin, crumpled by a van, set to be repaired

A set of town centre traffic lights smashed over by a van are set to be repaired next week.
The lights - on the A96 between the roundabouts at the end of Elgin High Street and Tesco - were flattened by a van on Thursday, October 16.
Roads operator Amey has confirmed that work to repair the lights will take place on Tuesday, October 28.
The lights “should be up and running” by the following day, Amey added, and may even be operational earlier.
There will be no traffic management required for the repairs to be undertaken so traffic will flow as normal on the A96.
