Organisers of a brand-new festival in the north-east are going the extra mile to make it accessible and affordable for all.

Skotoberfest will take place at Castle Fraser in Aberdeenshire on October 11 and is determined to be family-friendly and provide music and activities “to suit all tastes”.

To prove that, the festival is offering a 10 per cent discount for blue light cardholders, students and over 60s.

Event owner Kay Thomson, of Your Vibe Events, said: "At Skotoberfest, we’re passionate about creating a festival that’s welcoming, affordable, and inclusive.

“Blue light cardholders, students, and those aged 60 and over represent people who give so much to our communities.

“Whether that is through vital public service, learning for the future, or a lifetime of contribution, we want to recognise that by making the event more accessible.

“Skotoberfest is all about bringing people together to celebrate – from great music and food to the fun of family-friendly Oktoberfest traditions – and we don’t want anyone to feel left out.
