Aberdeenshire businesses donate to schools to help families this Christmas
Two businesses have donated to schools to help families in need this Christmas.
The Spotty Bag Shop in Banff and Keith Simpson Builders based in Macduff have presented more than £4000 of vouchers to the primary schools in the towns.
Des Cheyne from the store and Keith Simpson handed over the vouchers to Banff Primary School headteacher Laura MacKay and Macduff Primary School deputy headteacher Louise Chisholm.
Mr Simpson also donated vouchers to Aberchirder Primary School.
Mr Cheyne and Mr Simpson said: “This festive season, The Spotty Bag Shop and Keith Simpson Builders are proud to support our local schools and community by donating more than £4000 worth of gift vouchers to help families during these tough times.
“We know that many families are facing financial challenges and we hope that these vouchers can bring a little bit of joy and ease to those in need.
“As two local businesses we feel strongly about giving back to the community that has supported us throughout the years.
“We believe that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a difference and this initiative is our way of helping spread some festive cheer in offering a helping hand when it is needed most.
“We hope that these vouchers can be used for gifts, essential supplies or just a little something extra to brighten up their Christmas.
“We are incredibly grateful to be able to contribute in this way and we encourage others in our community to find ways that they too can support one another.
“During this season of giving we want to remind everyone that kindness and support goes a long way and we are honoured to play a small part in making this Christmas a bit brighter for those who need it most.”
