Driver (34) dies after A98 collision

A 34-YEAR-OLD man has died following a one car collision on the A98 Fochabers to Buckie road.

Police Scotland has appealed for witnesses following the incident which happened around 4pm on Friday, August 9 near Swiss Cottage.

The collision involved a silver Ford Fiesta car. The driver died at the scene.

There were no other passengers in the vehicle at the time.

Sgt Andy Ramsay, of the road policing unit, said: "Our thoughts at this difficult time are with the family and friends of teh driver and an investigation into the collision is underway in order to piece together exactly what happened.

"I would urge anyone who saw the vehicle prior to the collision or who witnessed the accident itself and who hasn't yetcome forward to contact the police on 101 quiting incident number 2789 9/9/19 as soon as possible."
