Driving ban and unpaid work for man who drove under the influence

A FORRES man has been banned from driving and sentenced to unpaid work after getting behind the wheel while under the influence of drink or drugs.

Police on patrol in Inverness decided to stop and search Paul Box’s vehicle on an October afternoon and discovered a small quantity of cannabis.

Officers charged the 56-year-old, of Anderson Crescent, with possessing the drug which amounted to 0.82 grams.

He was also charged with driving while unfit through drink or drugs on the A9 near the Longman roundabout on October 5, 2022.

He admitted both offences, was ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid community work and banned from driving for three years.
