Moray raid sees cash and drugs recovered in Elgin





Drugs and money worth more than £10,000 has been seized from an Elgin property by police.

Officers raided the property on Bremer Drive based on “intelligence that had been received”, which led to a 43-year-old suspect being charged.

Cannabis with an estimated street value of more than £3500 was found, along with more than £7000 in cash.

The money was seized under Proceeds of Crime Legislation.

A police spokesperson added: “A 43-year-old man was charged as a result.

“He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and will appear at Elgin Sheriff Court at a later date.
