A 44-year-old Elgin woman appeared in court today for the third Monday in a row for breaching a bail condition not to be in a Nairn street.

Inverness Sheriff Court was told that Carol MacCallum of Forbes Court, Elgin was found by police in a state of undress lying on the ground in Leopold Street, Nairn on June 14 this year.

MacCallum admitted breaching a special bail condition and defence solicitor Ken Ferguson said that his client had a problem with alcohol.

He added: "She had previously been through a detox programme but started drinking again due to an event in her domestic life."

Sheriff Margaret Neilson remanded MacCallum in custody until July 4 for a background report.
