Brothers Andrew and Ian Mundy, better know collectively as 'Braw', are releasing their new song to support Scotland as the national side look to qualify for this year's World Cup.

Andrew appealed for locals of the Speyside village to submit photos of themselves kitted out in their favourite Scotland attire via social media recently.

The photos will appear in a montage that will include other Scotland fans from as far south as Dumfries and as far north as Lerwick.

Andrew said: "One of the best things that we have noticed about the Tartan Army and Scotland supporters in general is that the team has support from all over the place.

"We've met a few people from Dufftown at some of the Scotland games and we've also been up there to do some whisky tastings because we're big whisky fans.

"We wanted to get Scotland fans from across the board really so we're happy that we can include Dufftown.

"We've been shocked by the sheer enthusiasm of people sending in photos. We've got at least two and possibly three from Dufftown so they'll be making an appearance in the video."

The brothers released their debut football song, 'A long Time Coming', for the European Championships last year after Scotland ended their 22 year wait for an appearance at a major tournament.

The song did well but unfortunately the team could not replicate its success as they crashed out before the knockout stages.

The pair are hoping that their new song, 'When Scotland Called', brings better luck this time when it releases next month.

"We wanted to get it out early to show our support for the team," Andrew said.

"It's been a fairly dire 20 years to be a Scotland fan until recently so it was amazing to see the support from people when Scotland showed a little bit of promise.

"That's really the whole idea behind the song, that when Scotland called and needed that support we all answered.

"Even my mum and her friend who hate football came along to Hampden for one of the games and they were just transfixed by the euphoria.

"I'm not getting cocky but I think we've got a really good shot because if any Scotland team are going to do it I think it's this one."

Andrew says that anybody interested in the song should keep their eyes peeled on the group's Facebook and Instagram.
