Edinburgh Woollen Mill on Elgin High Street closes

THE Edinburgh Woollen Mill clothes shop on Elgin High Street has closed its door for the last time.

The closure is with immediate effect, with the store emptied out and the shop up for let.

The Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group – which also owns Jaeger and Peacocks – announced a few weeks ago that it would be closing 50 stores with around 600 jobs lost.

However, there was no official announcement of the closure in Elgin.

The group has not been available for comment.
