Elgin Academy says the closure is a result of late notification of a number of lateral flow tests.

Many of the students take lateral flow tests on the Sunday night.

The school already has a number of year group students in S2 and S5 self-isolating after two confirmed cases of Covid-19 since it returned following the Easter holidays.

In a statement, the school confirmed this morning: "Due to a late notification of a number of lateral flow tests, the school will be closed to all on Monday, April 26 to allow Public Health time to complete track and trace processes. Further information to follow."
