Elgin assault, at town’s Cooper Park, left man in hospital





Police officers are appealing for information after an assault which left a man in hospital.

At around 4pm on Sunday, June 8, a 62-year-old man was assaulted in Cooper Park in Elgin.

Police Scotland said the incident took place “near a bridge that crosses the River Lossie”.

The 62-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment and police are asking the public for help with their investigation.

Constable Sarah Ross said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.”
