Elgin businessman Aaron McGettrick banned from driving after being caught behind the wheel four times the limit

AN ELGIN businessman has been banned from driving and fined after being caught behind the wheel while four times the limit.

Aaron McGettrick (32), formerly a manager at Dicey's Bar, was pulled over by police officers at 1am on November 14, 2020, on Meadow Crescent in Elgin.

He was initially pulled over due to reckless driving, but tests Elgin Police Station later showed he had 84 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system. The legal limit is 22mcg.

At Elgin Sheriff Court on Tuesday, May 10, McGettrick, of Academy Street in Elgin, was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £790.
