City have already given 130 three-course meals to elderly in sheltered homes around Moray, 100 hampers to care homes in Elgin and a £500 donation to the NHS in the last week.

The club is aiming to give back to the community which has supported it throughout the pandemic with the initiatives.

Liz Tait, head of clinical care and governance at Dr Gray's, said: "The size of the donation is outstanding, there are 75 hampers and juice too, which is fantastic.

"It was very gratefully received. While others are at home enjoying Christmas with their families, we have staff and volunteers working on hospital all night and day.

"The hampers were enjoyed by those working overnight last night and will be enjoyed during the day today.

"It's lovely to be remembered. The public and business have been good to us this year and this is the icing on the cake."
