AN ELGIN business devastated by fire just weeks ago has been left reeling after thieves ransacked its offices.

Fleet Management Services owner Allan Howie admitted he was gutted at the break-in to

his Tyock Industrial Estate premises.

The van and truck rental and sales business is getting back on its feet following a major blaze at the depot earlier this month which destroyed nine vehicles.

Mr Howie said: "Just when you think things can’t get any worse, this happens. This is our fourth break-in over the last couple of years.

"I am absolutely gutted, this is like a kick in the teeth," he added.

The thieves ransacked the offices, leaving a trail of destruction.

Mr Howie said valuable electrical equipment and any cash are always removed from the office each night, so the thieves appear to have fled empty-handed. "It is just mindless," said Mr Howie.

Police are investigating the break-in and anyone with information is asked to contact them on 0845 600 5 700 or to phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
