Elgin sex assault - man to appear in court

A 25-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault at Doocot Park in Elgin three weeks ago.

Extensive police enquiries have been ongoing since the force report was received of an assault in the early hours of Friday, June 21.

The man will appear at Elgin Sheriff Court today.

Detective Inspector Alan Armitt said: “Numerous people have assisted with our enquiries to date and I would like to thank them once again for their help.”
