Elgin set to host BBC Question Time

BBC Question Time is to be filmed in Elgin for the first time.

The political debate show, presented by Fiona Bruce, will be screened from the town hall on Thursday, May 16.

Members of the local community can now apply to be part of the audience, with around 150 people being selected.

Audience members will be asked to come up with two questions to be considered for the BBC 1 programme.

The panel, which has representation from the government and the official opposition party as well as other political parties, is yet to be announced.

People from Elgin and the surrounding area can apply to be part of the audience by visiting www.bbc.co.uk/questiontime or by phoning 0330 123 9988.
