Elgin's Batchen Street closing for emergency works

Batchen Street in Elgin will close from today, around mid-afternoon, until Monday due to a burst main.

The entire road will be closed from Thursday, July 4, until Monday, July 8, while works are done. The street may re-open earlier if works are completed.

Works are currently ongoing at Lossie Wynd but one work there is finished and the street re-opens, Batchen Street will close. Traffic will then be diverted along the high street, and along up Lossie Wynd.

Site notices will be erected in due course indicating the temporary restriction to traffic. Drivers are being advised to utilise adjacent streets.
