Burglary at Jade Garden Chinese takeaway in Forres

ENQUIRIES are ongoing after Jade Garden Chinese takeaway in Forres was broken into on Saturday night.

Thieves who broke in made off with a significant amount of money – including a sum from a charity bucket which was set to go to Outfit Moray.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police in Forres have received a report of a break-in to a premises in the Fleurs Place area, which is believed to have taken place between Saturday, May 22, and Sunday, May 23.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

After being closed for a few days, Jade Garden reopened today and thanked the community for the support they have been shown.
