Police Scotland investigating reported break-in at Elgin restaurant Scribbles





Police enquiries are ongoing after reports of an attempted break-in at an Elgin restaurant.

Elgin eatery Scribbles posted on social media saying that three “teenage boys” entered the premises “through the back door” on Monday evening.

The Italian restaurant said that the youths “unsuccessfully tried to access an office” before setting off a fire alarm.

Scribbles posted CCTV images of the alleged intruders.

Police Scotland confirmed they received report of a break-in attempt this afternoon.

A spokesperson said: "At around 2.50pm on Tuesday, October 21, police received a report of an attempted break-in at premises on High Street, Elgin.
