THESE amazing pictures of the monument on top of Lady Hill in Elgin have been taken by a relative newcomer to the area.

Phil Webster is the man behind Scottish Drone Services.

The south Londoner, who moved up to Moray last year, said: "I was curious to see what the man on top of the statue – the Duke of Gordon – actually looked like close up.

"So I decided one day to fly a drone up and take a peak.

"Judging by the online reaction I'm getting to the photos there's a lot of people around Moray who share my curiosity."

Phil moved up to these parts after doing the North Coast 500 motor route around northern Scotland last year

While on the road he met Heather who owns HJM Salon in Elgin's Mayne Road.

Phil is now living in Lossiemouth and playing cricket for the Forres St Lawrence team.

He said: "Besides being really friendly, people up here are immensely proud of where they come from. So it's great to let them see familiar scenes from a completely new perspective."

Scottish Drone Services specialises in aerial video, photography and production services for promotions, weddings, property sales and more.
