Forres hard rockers Bad Actress tackle mental health in new single Love Ain’t Easy
A band of hard rockers have opened up about how mental health can “get in the way” of relationships.
Love Ain’t Easy is the first-ever ballad from Forres-based band Bad Actress.
Chick McFarlane, lead guitarist, said he hoped the song would express how important “finding freedom from fear” can be during tough times.
The long-haired shredder added: “Love Ain’t Easy explores how mental health can affect relationships.
“It reflects on how intrusive thoughts and irrational anxieties can get in the way of enjoying love, whether it’s with a person or another passion in life.
“It’s about escaping all that, finding freedom from fear and being able to enjoy what’s happening in your life right now.”
The Forres-based band launched the track, their latest single on Friday, August 16.
Released on the back of Rockin’ with You and a cover of ABBA’s Does Your Mother Know, this is their third release of 2024.
The band have already road-tested the track, and have toured around the UK with shows in London, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Inverness and Aberdeen.
Bad Actress even took the stage at several festivals this year, including MacMoray in Elgin, Bonfest in Kirriemuir, and Stramash in Stornoway.
Their music is available across streaming sites, with more information on the band available here.
