ALL the fun of the gala is set to roar back to Findochty after a Covid-enforced absence.
Four days of festivities are planned which promise to bring something for everyone.
Jim Murray, one of the event organisers, said: "We're delighted to see the gala coming back.
"Due to Covid that'll be three years since we've had the gala and we've missed it."
Kicking off the festivities will be the ever-popular fishing competition at Sterlochy pier, which is set to run from 2pm through to 5pm. The biggest catch will no doubt be a lot of fun for all those involved.
The following day will see the focus move to the football field when the kids' five-a-side contest gets under way, with Friday seeing the adults taking to the pitch to battle it out in their own version of the competition.
Friday afternoon will offer the chance to enjoy a cuppa and a snack when the town hall hosts a strawberry tea from 2pm until 4pm.
The gala itself will burst into life on Saturday afternoon round the harbour, with the fun beginning at 1pm and running through until 4pm. Stalls and all sorts of activities for young and old alike are set to be on offer.
The gala dance in the town hall from around 8.30pm will offer the chance to bop the night away to music from Toni. Tickets cost £10 – available from Mr Murray and wife Donna at 19, Morven Crescent – and guests are invited to bring their own bottle plus a raffle.
