Elgin fire on Alba Place is not being treated as suspicious as enquiries conclude





A fire that left an elderly woman in hospital is not being treated as suspicious by police.

Officers launched a joint investigation with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service after the blaze, which started on Alba Place in Elgin after 11pm on Monday, March 17.

Four fire vehicles, three ambulances, a paramedic response unit and a large police presence were called to the scene.

A 71-year-old woman was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital for treatment.

Enquiries are now complete and the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
